Dear Colleagues! As part of the celebration of the 85th anniversary of RIAE — DSTU, on September 5–9, 2015, in the village of Divnomorskoe in the “Raduga” health resort, Don State Technical University and the North Caucasus Research Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture hold an international scientific and methodological conference: “Innovative technologies in environmental science and education” (ITESE-2015). The International Conference “Innovative Technologies in Environmental Science and Education-2015” finished its work at the “Raduga” health resort of DSTU. From September 7 to September 10, 2015, the International Scientific and Methodological Conference “Innovative Technologies in Environmental Science and Education “ITESE-2015”, which has been held since 2013 at the initiative of DSTU, the North Caucasus Research Institute of Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture, and thanks to the support of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was held in the village of Divnomorskoe. More than 300 scientists, teachers, and specialists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Cuba and other countries participated in the “ITESE-2015” conference both in person and in absentia. The conference was opened by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Academician and Secretary of the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yury Lachuga. He stressed the relevance of the subject of the conference, taking into account the realities of today, and the need for continuity of scientific traditions. On behalf of the Rector of the DSTU Besarion Meskhi, the guests and participants of the conference were welcomed by the Acting Dean of the faculty of “Machinery and equipment of the agribusiness” M.V. Savenkov. The following participants spoke at the plenary session: V.D. Popov (Academician of RAS, Director of the FSBSI “Institute of Agroecological Problems”); V.V. Alt (Corresponding Member of RAS, Director of the FSBI “Siberian Physics and Technology Institute of Agrarian Problems”); S.D. Ridny (First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Krai, Ph.D.); V.E. Buxmann (regional manager for CIS of “AMAZONEN-WERKE” (Germany)); A.S. Usmanov (Corresponding Member of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan); V.F. Fedorenko (Corresponding Member of RAS, Director of FSBSI Rosinformagrotekh of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation); A.N. Soloviev (Head of the Department “Theoretical and Applied Mechanics”, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor); O.A. Polushkin (Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honorary Professor of the DSTU, Scientific Supervisor of the small innovative enterprise “Enset” of the DSTU). 24 participants made presentations at the conference, including 9 young scientists and students. As part of the conference, round-table discussions were held on the following topics: “Priorities of innovative development of science and education”, “Ways of implementing innovative developments for agribusiness and agricultural engineering”, “Experience in organizing and conducting research in modern conditions”. Based on the results of the international conference, a collection of scientific papers has been released.
